Q&A with Sales Manager

It takes a huge amount of time to build a home from scratch and can sometimes be daunting with not knowing the right questions to ask.

We sat down with Hunter Homes Sales Manager, Lisa in a Q&A session to find out a few of the most asked questions we receive from clients walking into our display homes.

What are House and Land Packages ?

Are There Government Grants Available for New Homeowners?

Yes, there certainly is - the Australian government is committed to providing citizens with the support they need to work their way towards becoming proud homeowners. Here are a few grants that you may be eligible for.

FIRST HOME SUPER SAVER SCHEME:

Under this scheme, first home buyers who make voluntary super contributions of up to $15,000 per financial year into this super can withdraw these amounts (in addition to associated earnings / less tax) from their super fund to help with a deposit on their first home.

If you’re eligible, the maximum amount of contributions that can be withdrawn under the scheme is approximately $30,000 for individuals, or $60,000 for couples.

Money saved through this scheme may not be enough for a full deposit on your new home but can really add up in combination with other saving methods.

FIRST HOME BUYERS GRANT:

The First Home Owner Grant (FHOG) was introduced in 2000 to help Australians offset the effects of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) on buying or building a home. This is a one-time payment for eligible first home buyers who buy or build a residential property in which they live.

Setting yourself up to buy your dream home is a process that requires vision, discipline and the right kind of support.
